Members have access to a range of roadside and accident assistance services in the event of an emergency. Assistance is subject to policy limits and service availability.
Services available in the event of a roadside emergency (limited to R500 per incident):
Flat battery – jump start only (battery replacement for the member’s account)
Flat tyre – assistance with changing a tyre
Keys locked in vehicle – unlocking service only
Fuel assistance – limited to five litres per incident
Minor roadside repairs – including electrical faults, coils, immobilisers and similar issues
Transmission of urgent messages
Tow-in services are provided to the nearest approved dealership (if under warranty), repair centre, or panel beater in the event of:
Mechanical Breakdown – covered up to R500
Electrical Breakdown – covered up to R500
Accident Damage – cost covered to the nearest approved panel beater up to a limit of R1850
If a vehicle needs to be towed, transport will be arranged for the occupants of the vehicle (up to two people) to a nominated destination within a 100 km radius of the normal place of residence.
If a breakdown occurs more than 100 km from the normal place of residence and results in an overnight delay, hotel accommodation will be arranged for the occupants of the vehicle (up to four people), covered up to R500.
If the circumstances qualify for hotel accommodation but the member prefers to continue their journey, a rental vehicle can be arranged, subject to the rental company’s terms and conditions.
